Description
Niebla Del Sal is a park proposal for Barcelona. The site of Niebla Del Sal is located in a plot of reclaimed coastland by the beach between the “Forum 2004” Area , the “Enrique Miralles (EMBT) Parc” and the end of Avenue “Diagonal Mar”. Thus, Niebla Del Sal acts as an intermediary between sea and coast, while also serving as a connection between two key architectural interventions in Barcelona.
I propose to create a park whose primary area of interest is floating in the sea. Niebla Del Sal comprises of 2 key elements:
1. a floating buoy-like surface which is “inhabitable”and
2. vertical “Artifical Tree” structures that spray sea water in a mist to provide architectural and sensuary effect as well as infrastructural irrigation support.
Niebla Del Sal translates to “Mist of Salt” in English.
