Description
THE PROJECT OF MIXED USED HIGH-RISE BUILDING, WHICH SHOULD COMPLETE THE SKYLINE OF FRANKFURT AM MAIN. iN THE BUILDING ARE FLATS WITH OWN PARKING ON EACH FLOOR, SHOPPING CENTRE, RESTAURANT, FITNESS AND WELLNESS CENTRE, SKY CAFE, OFFICES.

Mix used high-rise building
_The site is in Frankfurt am Main, on the north-western part of the river, between the centre and Hauptbahnhof. The exact location of the site is between Gutleut Strasse and Wilhelm-Leuschner Strasse. At the moment there is 18 storeys building and a gas station, the Highrise building should be instead.
_The project should piece out Frankfuts skyline with skyscrapers, which is visible from any brige across the river.
_Main cocept of the building comes from orientations through typology and functions in the building. Tha shape of the building reminds kind of curved tube, which is rising to the sky. Building by itself shouldnt be only a building but also an element, which creates a border between public, semi-public and privat space.
_The area is in big development during last years, so its very hard to define, which functions of buldings are there in majority. At the moment there is definitelly the function of livng, but in couple of the years, it should be created lot of office buildings and services. The concept of the scyscraper is not just to design a living, but it is about conection of all the functions together.
_Underground there is a parking, than offices in the first 8 storeys of the tower, shopping centre in the southern part, differnt kinds of flats, and on the top there is a sky cafe and fitness centre for inhabitans and workers in the building.
_The building by its shape creates a semi-closed space, which is used like a park, because this spaces are in the area at the moment rare and needed. The park is very closely connected to the shopping centre and restaurant in the ground floor.
_ The park should be place to meet, place whre u can shopping, take your children out (there is a small playground), place where you can relax. Or for the inhabitans its also the green place which can please their eyes, when they look from the window.
_The scyscraper is designed to maximalize the views to he east - to the river, and close fasade a bit from the north.

- _Skyscraper - high building - it means very big areas of facades. What to do with it? The building is not just creating inner spaces, but it also creates surrounding outside.
_Northern facade, fasade which doesnt have lot of sun, its not so needed in living, so there is a core and also privat garages of each flat. Frankfurt is city of very nice cars, people which live in exclusive apartments have usually very nice and expensive cars, it is part of their lifestyle, thay dont want to leave them in undeground public garages. The want to have them save at home and also the want to show them.
This fact, brings me to the idea of garages on each floor for the inhabitans, this cars are parking behind the transparent facade, and they create the look of the northern facade.
_Southern facade - there is lot of energy from the sun, and this energy can be used for service of the building, half of the facade is inclined by the way which helps to get more energy from the sun. The outer glass of this facade is covered by photovoltaic panels. This can be intristing also from inside, when the grid of PV panels creates special semi transparent, semi transluent effect. This can be used partly also as sunshading.
_Western facade is fasade which is orientated to the park, there is suppose to be density of the people, so this fasade is used as an media wall. This effect is made by special technology of screen, which is inserted between two glayzing sheets. This can bring people to the park also during the night, when can be on this screen special cultural events and performances.
_The structure is made by the core, horiyontal beams, ennern columns and outer diagonal columns. Whole plan is made on a grid of columns 7500x7500 mm, which is good rhythm for the parking and also other different typologies. - ELEVATION A-A
