Like most of the interesting and rewarding projects I've worked on, this was lead by my brother main architect Jorge Gracia founder of graciastudio, Since this project was signed, I was given the task of drafting the plans and during this time I started to understand how the lines that are drawn on plans have no real meaning unless there is a hart to the project, the most important part of it is a well understood goal to reach.
The most rewarding part of this project was seeing how it evolved over time, how the lines that we had drawn where being transformed in to a building how all those long days of thinking on how it would be buit where worth something, always learning something on the way. and most of all understanding that for a project to take shape and not loose its hart you have to be out there on the site where it all takes shape.
Culinary art school was conceived as public space where students would interact with each other and with staff on regular basis. i believe the goal was achieved.
